CREATIVITY TAKES COURAGE.

Rhiannon Guppy is an English artist now based in Franklin, Tennessee.

Having studied art, photography and silversmithing Rhiannon’s creativity knows no limits.  Her love for texture, minimal palettes & joyful bright, bold strokes & fine detail makes her work unique and beautiful.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

Rhiannon spent her formative years in England but over the last 13 years or so has been living a back-and-forth life between England/Scotland & America (with 23 house moves!) finally happily settling for the last few years in Franklin, Tennessee with her two children Bailey & Louis and her Husband Steve, who is the reason for all the moves. He is the first Assistant coach at Nashville Soccer Club. Rhiannon studied art, photography and silversmithing, and went on to work for a global greeting card company for over 10 years, range planning and new design concept research both in the uk and in America.

She has been creative all through her life with art, jewellery and sewing, but her passion for painting stems from weekly art meetups with her friend and fellow artist Anna Michalska.

Her current work has been a journey evolved over the last 2 years after moving to America, 2020’s lockdown encouraged her to do more experimenting and trying new with techniques and mediums. She loves texture, minimal palettes & joyful brights, bold strokes & fine detail. Recently she has started to enjoyed working with an unusual canvas of suede and leather. Although she has a real passion for watercolour on paper, loving the way the paint moves the unpredictability of the medium.

Her mini mindful abstract paintings are a favourite. landscapes especially seascapes, cliffs or mountains painted in a unique way can also be seen throughout her work.

She longs equally to be near both.
